Team Wandy: Wayne and Andy In January I was pleased to receive a letter from The Most Reverend Mark Davies, Bishop of Middleton informing us that new Hall Chaplains were to be appointed and that the role would be shared between Revd Canon Andrea Jones and Licensed Lay Reader Wayne Darbyshire. Former Domestic Bursar Esme Smith passed away at the end of 2025. Remembered by Dr Arthur Mawby Esme Smith was appointed Domestic Bursar in 1978 by Richard Davies during his short but excellent Wardenship. The Preston Scholarship is awarded each year as an annual bursary to a student resident in St Anselm Hall who has shown outstanding contributions to Hall life.
