London Dinner 2022

This popular event brings together friends both old and new for an update on the hall and its activities. As always, spouses, partners and guests are very welcome.

The event is also a chance to see inside the RAF Club, a private members’ club dating back to 1918 when the first Lord Cowdray made a gift to provide a permanent building to house the Royal Air Force Club. The Piccadilly frontage was originally the Ladies’ Lyceum Club and was built in the 1800s, whilst the rear half, facing Old Park Lane, was stables. Between 1919 and 1921 extensive reconstruction took place, largely financed by Lord Cowdray. 

Dress Code

Jacket and tie for gentlemen and dress or trousers and smart top for ladies.

Schedule 18.30   Assemble in Churchill Bar 19.15    A few words from out evening host followed by invitation into 19:20   3-course set many dinner in The Sovereign Room followed by coffee and petits fours. After dinner there will be a short update on life in hall 22:00    Adjourn to the Churchill Bar 23:00    Carriages
